Directing
Justin’s most recent directorial effort THE DUEL AT BISHOP CREEK had its world premiere at the Academy Award-Qualifying LA Shorts International Film Festival before heading on to the Sidewalk Film Festival and Picture’s Up Film Festival. His previous directing efforts have sometimes won awards such as the Stages Theater Film Festival’s Best Drama Award and other times have crashed and burned such as when 2/3rds of his sex-trafficking documentary’s footage was destroyed in a house flood.
1st AD
Justin has brought his meticulous mindset and kind demeanor to a variety of short films as a 1st AD, most recently the upcoming pilot presentation THE WOMAN IN THE WALL.
Stunt Dept. Office Coordinator
Justin has experience managing budgets up to 3 million dollars, coordinating with department heads, aiding in executing world-class previs, and handling the numerous other tasks that keep the best stunt departments running smoothly.
Art Department
Justin has brought his carpentry skills to a variety of commercials and short films as a set builder and art director, most notably on a number of SoulPancake projects.
Theater
Artistic Director
After training at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, Justin founded the Yale College Original Shakespeare Company where he served as Artistic Director for two years, directing productions such as JULIUS CAESAR and ROMEO AND JULIET.
On Stage
Justin starred in numerous theatrical productions at Yale including HAMLET, MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING, and A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE. Upon graduating with Distinction, he moved to New York City where he appeared in revamped productions of classics such as Chekhov’s THE CHERRY ORCHARD and OEDIPUS at the LaMaMa Experimental Theatre Club.
Screenwriting
Justin’s most recent script GUNNAR ON THE GRASSLAND SEA was a 2024 Academy Nicholl Quarterfinalist.
He currently has multiple projects in various stages of development and was a previous recipient of the 2020 ComicXChange Screenwriting Fellowship with Writer’s Bootcamp.
